Rubber Rain Boots Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do your wellies fit?
A: On the details page for each individual rain boot, we try to best describe the fit. If it says "Fits generous" this means the fit is large, both in width and length. If you are normally a size 8, a size 7 will do. If you are normally an 8.5, then go with an 8. If it says "Fits snug around the calf", you probably won't be able to tuck your pants in the boot. These boots also fit true to your shoe size. Remember, it's okay for the wellingtons to fit on the larger side. This leaves room for extra socks in colder weather. If we describe our rain boots as fitting "true to size", if you are normally a size 8, then you should order an 8. If you are normally a size 8.5, then a 9 would leave extra room for thicker socks.
2. How do I care for my new Rain Boots?
A: Rubber rain boots with designs are fashion items and need more care than the traditional boots you have been used to.
- The designs will scratch & the boots will rip if continuously abused and knocked against hard objects.
- Wipe off dirt and mud with a wet cloth and leave to dry naturally. Do not dry in front of fires or heaters and do not leave on top of central heating vents or radiators.
- Do not leave your funky rubber rain boots in direct sunlight or UV light for lengths of time, this may cause the surface to craze or crack, discolour or fade. Store your boots in a cool, well ventilated place away from strong light.
- We advise you not to use a step or use strong force to remove your wellingtons. Sit down and use your hands to take them off. This will prevent excessive stress to the boot heel, which could lead to splitting.
- Walk with your weight squarely on the heel. Funky rubber rain boots are built up(made) piece by piece product and rely on vulcanizing at high temperatures to heat seal the joints. Walking wih weight to either the inside or outside of the heel will put the joints under pressure and will ultimately cause failure or leakage.
3. Do you have any funky rubber rain boots for men?
A: Not at the moment. When we find some, or design some ourselves, we will carry them. Men want to look good also. Keep checking back with us.
4. Does the adjustable buckle really adjust?
A: Yes, it does, but not a whole lot. The pleat on the side helps give for larger calves, but it won't make the width super snug.
5. Are your rubber boots waterproof?
A: Yes, our rain boots are 100% waterproof. Your feet will definately remain dry.
6. At what other times can I wear my funky rubber boots?
A: Whenever and however you want. They're great when gardening, washing the car, going to the beach, boating, camping and wherever or whenever you want to be dry and just look amazing.
7. I received my rubber rain boots and they do not fit or I want a different style. How do I return them for an exchange?
A: Please mail your funky wellies back to us. Inside the box, please include your full name, address, reason for return and an explanation on what you would like us to do. For example: I would like you to refund my credit card or I would like to exchange for a size _ or I would like a different style. If we are mailing out a new pair to you, we will send you an invoice for the return shipping charges.
1. How do you calculate the shipping costs on your rubber rain boots?
A: We ship via UPS on orders going to the United States and we use Canada Post on orders destined to Canada. Shipping is calculated at checkout by combining all the product dimensions and weights in your shopping cart. This is a very precise method and you pay only the exact shipping costs.
2. Do you ship internationally?
A: Yes, we ship to Canada, US and worldwide. We are currently working on our worldwide shipping issues, so if you live abroad, please email us at sales@shoprainco.com for a shipping quote.
3. Can I come and pick up my order? I live locally.
A. Unfortunately, we are an online retailer only and do not have an actual store front. We keep our local shipping costs quite affordable and often if time and gas costs are considered, having them shipped to you is the best option.
4. How long will it take to get my rubber boots?
A: We ship UPS Standard to Canada and the US and it will take 4-5 days for your funky gumboots to arrive. Once UPS or Canada Post picks up the package from us, you will receive an email with a tracking number so you can keep track of your shipment. If there are any delays, this tracking number will let you know. Worldwide shipping is done via UPS Standard and Canada Post Expidited and times may vary. A tracking number will be provided once shipped.
5. I need my funky wellingtons right away, can I have them shipped with a faster service?
A: Yes, this is not a problem. Just contact us with your shipping address, what type of shipping you are interested in and what you would like to order and we will email you back with a shipping quote.
6. I live in the United States. Are the boots still shipped using Canada Post?
A: No, if you are having the boots shipping the the US, we use UPS, they are far more efficient in getting the packages through the border.
7. Do you deliver to APO addresses in the United States?
A: Unfortunately, UPS does not deliver to APO addressess or PO Boxes in the United States. If you would like your order to be delivered to either addresses, please contact us and we can arrange for you package to be delivered using Canada Post. The cost is the same your order will just take longer to get to you.
Placing an Order
1. How safe is it to place an order on your site and will my credit card information be protected?
A: Safety and security on our site is very important to us. We have taken many measures to ensure our customers can come to our site and feel safe and have fun. We have partnered with PSi Gate payment gateway to accept our online payments. Credit card companies (Visa, Mastercard) have developed the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security standard to ensure merchants & service providers meet minimum standards of security when storing, processing & transmitting cardholder data. PSi is a member and exceeds these standards.
We renew the security certificate for www.shoprianco.com every year and our sites security is checked throughout the day.
2. I entered my credit card information but did not receive an order confirmation. Did my order go through?
A: If you did not receive an order confirmation, you order was not processed. We ask you to confirm your order in three different stages. Once before you enter your credit card information, and we ask you to then confirm your credit card information after you entered it. The last stage is to confirm both your order & credit information and click on the "place order" tab. Once this is done, a "thanks for your order" will appear on your computer with a printable receipt. A confirmation email will also be sent to your email inbox. 3. Do you have a store front?
A: No, we do not have an actual store that you can come to and shop around and try on the different styles. We are only an online based business, our products are stored in a warehouse.
4. Why do I need to provide you with my phone number?
A: Your phone number is needed for two very important reasons. If there is a problem processing your order (for example, we are out of stock of the item you ordered), and we do not receive a response via email, phoning you is the best option. Secondly, we need to provide our shipper with you phone number in the case your package is undeliverable or they have tried more than once to deliver and no one was home. Your privacy is very important to us and we will not use your phone number unless any of the above two events occur.
